Backstory: A big juicy green caterpillar was crossing the sidewalk as the morning light shone the day’s first glimmer of revelation. After snapping 2 pictures and 2 videos, I think What does that Book say about the caterpillar?
Thumbs type away at the screen as many surahs and many ayats come up. Nothing explicitly mentions the caterpillar, instead the concept of Sabr (patience) and it’s ties with the the cocoon of transformation. Associated verses are displayed before my waking eyes and my heart is filled with the gift of access, contact. Ultimately, I decided to reflect on a particular surah because of its mention of the word Sabr.

When adversity touches, a favor is bestowed but we forget. The companions of the fire are among us. Wait, what are the companions of the fire?
Pause. Okay, maybe I’ll just let the imagination ride with this one.
Devoted obedience. That is a scary concept.
Question: Do I have volition if I possess these attributes?
Answer: There are two types of volition: Human volition, and Supreme Volition.

The word to best describe it is Love – Hubb.
Sacrifice is inevitable. Struggle is inevitable. Discomfort is inevitable.
In what company do you wish to share these inevitabilities?
Do you wish to share the fruits of your sacrifice with those you love?
Tashia, A Gift.
Do you seek refuge in those you love when struggle strikes?
Kifah, adversity through perseverance.
Is your discomfort alleviated by the rafiq, the company of the One you love, a comrade perhaps?
Eadam airtiah is the lack of relief or satisfaction.
Where do you look for antidotes and is there a common denominator?
Surely there is no One antidote, but a common denominator maybe.
Love.
Who do you love?
A handful of humans.
Other Earth Dwellers.
The One who created us.
There is our will and the Will of All that is Good, a collective will if you must.
Jumbles of Thoughts are returned to the Library.
Disgraceful torment is not always a choice.
Sabr is a gift. Patience is a gift. Choices are a gift.
Volition is a multilayered Truth.
The Sabr leads us to the truth.
Patience leads us to the Truth.
You are the manager of your own Truth.
As the manager of your Truth, you have a manager who is All Knowing.
May the words and experiences we inevitably absorb protect you like a cocoon, granting sanctuary of the most precious gifts.
May the cocoon form a protective layer, a foundation of facilitation.
Transformation.
May the Caterpillar.
Return.
